30-year-old Pavel Malikov debuted on the professional ring in 2010. In February, 2016 he became Russian Lightweight Champion, in July he won the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver title and in November conducted the successful defend of his title. In both bouts he defeated strong representatives of the Philippines: Leonardo Donorio and Karlo Magali, respectively.
Last year on December,17 the native of Lyubertsy defeated strong Philipino Adones Aguelo in the fourth round by a technical knock-out and won the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Lightweight title (up to 61,2 kg).
In the co-main bout of the evening on May,25 2017 Pavel Malikov fought with Mirzhan Zhaksylykov from Kazakhstan and won the WBA Asian title in the category up to 61,23 kg. The bout was ended already in the second round – Malikov knocked down his rival by a powerful punch. Now Malikov has 11 professional victories and the third boxing title.
