Vladyslav Baranov will fight against Vaginak Tamrazyan in the city of Berezovsky on the 4th of March
A spectacular boxing and MMA tournament will take place on March, 4 in Berezovsky (Sverdlovsk region, Russia). The tournament is organized by RCC Boxing Promotions (Titov Boxing Promotions) and Alexander Scriabin with the support of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev. The tournament will be held at the Sports Complex “Lider” (“Лидер”). The show will start at 5 p.m. local time. There will be 14 fights (including 7 MMA fights). Tickets for the tournament are available on a web-site kassir.ru https://ekb.kassir.ru/kassir/event/view/32963.
The main event of the tournament will be a 10-round bout – Vladyslav Baranov (5-1-1, 4 KO), champion from Ukraine, and Vaginak Tamrazyan (11-3, 3 KO), challenger from Russia, will challenge the WBC CIS and Slovenian Champion welterweight (up to 66,7 kg) title.
21-year-old Vladyslav Baranov, who was born in Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi and lives in Kiev, started his professional career in April, 2015. He lost the first bout on points, but after that he only won fights. In December, 2015 he showed himself in the best light – he knocked-out a very strong and stubborn journeyman, Alexander Benidze.
In May, 2016 Baranov had a draw fight with non-defeated Dmytro Fedas (7-0-1 at the moment of the bout), and he even knocked-down the rival twice in the second round. In September, 2016 Vladyslav had fights outside Ukraine – he won the vacant WBC CIS and Slovenian Champion welterweight (up to 66,7 kg) title when he defeated Baxrom Payazov from Uzbekistan by the technical knock-out in the sixth round.
31-year-old Vaginak Tamrazyan, who was born in Yerevan (Armenia) and lives in Vladimir (Russia), had his first bout on the professional ring in March, 2014. In a year he won on points a non-defeated young sportsman, Alexander Filichkin (13-0 at the moment of the bout), and became a new Russian welterweight Champion.
In May and August, 2015 Tamrazyan won on points non-defeated Alexander Sharonov (6-0 at the moment of the bout) and Georgi Chelokhsaev (5-0-1). It is worth noting that Georgi Chelokhsaev is a winner of a boxing show “Fight in a big city” («Бой в большом городе»). Despite the fact that Vaginak Tamrazyan lost his last two bouts in May and Oсtober, 2016 (he lost on points and his rivals were strong enough), he shouldn’t be underestimated in no circumstances. Vladyslav Baranov is going to have a very tense bout in terms of the first title defense.
